Catherine Lemon is a certified Somatic Practitioner working with adults and children who have conflicts around developmental trauma, sexuality, and relational issues. Her strengths are her keen sensitivity, and ability to create a safe and attuned environment for her clients to have deep healing and trauma resolution. She combines her intuitive style with the use of light touch and movement to help clients self regulate and stabilize their nervous systems.
Catherine has over 30 years of experience working as an educator, body worker and personal coach. She started out in the field of Early Childhood Development and holds a Montessori credential from the Maria Montessori Teaching Center in San Francisco.
She founded Zest Productions in 1994 and worked as a wedding consultant, helping couples and families navigate the high pressure and stress that come with planning a wedding. She completed her training as a certified Therapeutic Massage Practitioner in 1991 and had a private practice in the Bay Area for six years.
Catherine is currently assisting in Somatic Experiencing trainings in Northern California, Australia and South Korea. Additionally, she has participated in workshops with Twig Wheeler and Ray Castellino's Womb Surround Process workshops; and assisted in Attachment Wound Healing, Pre and Perinatal, and Sexual Embodiment workshop series with Ariel Giarretto and Tom Callanan. She has a private practice in Sebastopol, California.
Sarah Theismann, MA, SEP, CSB, CMP holds a MA in Somatic / Pre & Perinatal Psychology, is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, a Certified Sexological Bodyworker and Certified Prenatal & Birth Therapist (through Ray Castellino). She has studied methods for sexual healing for over 15 years, including various schools of tantra, sex coaching and bodywork. Sarah brings a unique approach to her work by focusing on integrating early attachment experiences to support her clients in finding deeply fulfilling, safe and meaningful intimacy with themselves and their primary partner/s. In her sessions Sarah combines sex coaching techniques with principles of Psycho-Neurobiology, applied attachment theory, somatic trauma resolution methods and tantric teachings. She offers sessions for individuals and couples and also consultations for fellow professionals. Sarah works in the SF East Bay and in Santa Cruz as well as on Skype. She lectures and teaches on the topic of how preverbal experiences affect adult sexual intimacy.
The trauma of cancer diagnosis and treatment does not have to signal the end of your sexual life; rather, it’s an opportunity to explore the changes to body, mind and spirit. Sexy After Cancer provides conversations, tools and resources for people impacted by cancer. Everyone can experience sexual health and pleasure.
Barbara works with individuals and couples in person in the SF Bay Area and via skype or phone. She also offers group programs and retreats and speaks at many cancer conferences. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and has been on the path to understanding and experiencing deeper intimacy and more satisfying sexual experiences since then. Barbara is a sex educator, coach, transformation facilitator and she loves to talk about sex. She is a member of AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists).
